DAY 1: Pick up 8:30 a.m. to drive from San José to Arenal, arriving and making the check-in at the Arenal Paraiso Hotel about mid-day. Afternoon out to explore the volcano's safe areas in search of animals and birds. By night enjoy the Hot Springs and perfect view to the Volcano from your hotel. On a clear night one is able to observe the lava, gas and ash eruptions of the volcano!!! Overnight at the Arenal Paraiso Hotel standard room tax and breakfast included. DAY 2: Four hours drive after breakfast from Arenal up to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, around Lake Arenal. Mid -day check in at the Montaña Monteverde Hotel. Afternoon naturalist guided tour and entrance fees included at the Butterfly Farm. Overnight at Monteverde. DAY 3: Early breakfast and morning naturalist guided tour to Monteverde Cloud Forest Private Preserve. Slide show and visit the Hummingbird Gallery. Also visit the local Gift Shop. Around noon you will be on your way down to the Mid Pacific Coast, stopping to see the crocodiles at the Tarcoles River, where bird - watching is excellent. By late-afternoon, check-in at the Punta Leona Hotel, overnight standard room at Selva Mar. DAY 4: After breakfast enjoy the facilities of the hotel and the beach. Check-out is at noon. Afternoon visit to the Carara Biological Preserve, and drive back to San José arriving to town about 6:00 p.m. Rates are per person, minimum 2 passengers to operate tour.
