DAY 1: Departure from San José about 8:30 a.m. to visit the Oxcart Factory of Sarchi. Check in at Arenal Paraiso Hotel around 2:00pm. Afternoon drive -up to the National Park and observe some animal activity; mainly monkeys and tropical birds. At night time to enjoy the Hot Springs and perfect view of the Volcano from your hotel. On a clear night the volcano shows it´s lava, gas and ash eruptions!!! Overnight at Arenal Paraiso Hotel. DAY 2: After breakfast about 7:45 a.m. drive from La Fortuna to Los Chiles, border town with Nicaragua, to take a boat tour of about 2:45 hours navigating the "Rio Frio" to the Caño Negro Wild Life Preserve. The flora and fauna is exuberant. You will be able to see: hoarder monkeys, white face monkeys, spider monkeys, three and two toe slots, turtles, reptiles, and Caimans. Also many tropical birds; anhingas, Jabirus, Wood Storks, Roseate Spoonbills, White Ibis, some herons and Limpkins like: the great blue heron, little blue heron, cattle egret, great egret, rufous tiger - heron among others. Lunch and soft drinks included at the river tour. Return to your hotel around 4:00 p.m. Rest of the day open to enjoy the facilities of the hotel and observe the volcanic activity. Overnight at Arenal Paraiso Hotel. DAY 3:  After breakfast drive around Lake Arenal, through the towns of Nuevo Arenal, Tilaran, El Dos and Cabeceras, a drive of about 4 hours to the town of Santa Elena, at the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Check-in at your hotel the Montaña Monteverde about 2:00 p.m. Afternoon naturalist guided tour and entrance fees included to the Butterfly Farm. Overnight at Monteverde. DAY 4: Early breakfast and morning naturalist guided tour to the Monteverde Reserve, slide show and the Hummingbird Gallery, also visit to the souvenir center. Afternoon drive back to San José, on a 3:30 hour drive through towns like Sardinal, Guacimal, Puntarenas, Esparza, San Ramon, Palmares and Alajuela arriving about 5:30 p.m. to the Capitol City.
