DAY 1: Depart from San José about 8:30 a.m. taking the Pan-American Highway, passing through the  towns of: Grecia, Sarchi, Naranjo, and Palmares. At San Ramon you leave the highway to follow a rural road crossing the Central Volcanic Mountain Range from the Central Valley to the Northern Atlantic Area, through small towns like: Los Angeles, San Isidro, La Tigra, and Chachagua up to La Fortuna where you will check in at Arenal Paraiso Hotel. This afternoon  you will hike by the National Park having the opportunity of observing birds, monkeys and special vegetation. Late afternoon you will enjoy the hot springs and the night "look" of the Arenal Volcano from your hotel!!! You will have the chance to see the lava rolling down the side of the volcano crater. Overnight at Arenal Paraiso Hotel. DAY 2: After breakfast about 7:45am drive from Fortuna to Los Chiles, border town with Nicaragua, to take a boat tour of about 2:45 hours navigating the Rio Frio River to the Caño Negro Wild Life Preserve. The flora and fauna is exuberant, you will be able to see: monkeys, slots, turtles, reptiles, caimans, and many different tropical birds. Lunch and soft drinks included. Back to Arenal Paraiso Hotel about 4:00 p.m. Rest of the day open to enjoy the facilities of the hotel, and observe the activity of the volcano. Overnight at Arenal Paraiso Hotel. DAY 3: After breakfast morning drive around Arenal Lake, through the towns of Nuevo Arenal, Tilaran, El Dos, and Cabeceras, this  drive is  of about 4 hours to the town of Monteverde. Check-in at Montaña Monteverde Hotel about 2:00 p.m. Afternoon naturalist guided tour and entrance fees included  to the Butterfly Farm. Overnight at Montaña Monteverde Hotel . DAY 4: Early breakfast and naturalist guided tour to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, slides show and Hummingbird Gallery. Afternoon open for optional activities. Overnight at the Montaña Monteverde standard room. DAY 5: Early breakfast, entrance fee and nature walk at the Sky Walk. Afternoon drive back to San José, arriving around 5:00 p.m. Rates are per person, minimum 2 passengers to operate tour. Valle Dorado includes: transportation, tour guide, entrance fee to Arenal National Park, two nights standard rooms tax and breakfast at Arenal Paraiso and Montaña Monteverde Hotels, boat tour to Caño Negro with soft drinks and lunch, entrance fees and naturalist guided tours at the Butterfly Farm and the Monteverde Preserve,  and entrance fees to the Sky Walk.
