DAY 1: Departure from San José 8:30 a.m. drive to the Arenal Volcano Area. Check-in at the Arenal Paraiso Hotel about mid-day. Afternoon to explore the safe areas around the volcano's surroundings. By night enjoy the Hot Springs, and volcano view from the hotel. Overnight at the Arenal Paraiso Hotel standard room. DAY 2: Morning drive after breakfast, around the Lake Arenal towards Monteverde Cloud Forest. Check-in at the Montaña Monteverde Hotel about 1:00 p.m. Afternoon naturalist guided tour and entrance fees included  to the Butterfly Farm. Overnight at Monteverde. DAY 3: Early breakfast and then naturalist guided hike at the Monteverde Preserve, slide show and Hummingbird Gallery. Free afternoon open for optional activities, like: horse back riding, gift shop, hiking near the hotel, snake museum, canopy tour or Ecological Farm. Overnight at Monteverde. DAY 4: after breakfast visit to the Sky Walk.  Afternoon drive back to San José. Driving time  is about 3:30 hours.
